Strategy and Performance Management Cohort Program

ClearPoint and ELGL have teamed up to launch the 2020 Strategy and Performance Management Cohort Program.

We’re excited to announce that ClearPoint Strategy and Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL) have teamed up to launch the Strategy and Performance Management Cohort, a three-month program that helps local governments draft and implement a strategic plan quickly.

We wanted to take our talent and expertise and deploy it to a cause that we are passionate about. As such, priority will be given to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities with limited resources. This cohort is designed to enable participants to identify opportunities, increase knowledge, and build relationships that will last for years to come.

We’ve welcomed 11 participants from 8 local governments across the country to the 2020 Strategy and Performance Management Cohort. We are thrilled to work with this group of carefully chosen cities and counties to help them build and implement strategy & performance management goals.

How will the cohort work?

Cohort participants will be matched with mentor experts from around the country to develop a plan utilizing the ClearPoint strategic planning software, which is included at no additional cost to the participants. The cohort will be hosted through an online collaboration platform and will be virtual. Within weeks, cohort participants can expect to have a strategy plan, with measures they can report on, and relationships they can lean on to push through this year and future years to come. We’ve provided more on our content plan below.

When will the cohort begin?

Our timeline is as follows:

Cohort Applications Due: August 7, 2020
Cohort Selections Announced: August 11, 2020
Program Dates: August 18, 2020 – December 1, 2020

What will the participants learn?

  • Weeks 1-2:  Strategy Overview
  • Weeks 3-4: Common Themes
  • Weeks 5-6: Common Measures
  • Weeks 7-8: Link Your Projects
  • Weeks 9-10: Share Your Data
  • Weeks 11-12: Start Managing

The cohort participants will present their work at their December 1st graduation. To learn more about ELGL Cohort Programs, click here.
