Frequently Asked Questions
What is a user?
A user is any person who uses the software. In our pricing plans, we have three different categories of users. The first is a full user: This could be an administrator, scorecard admin, or editor. The second is an update-only user. This type of user is only available to enterprise package customers. Third is the view-only user, or browser. You can have a limited number of view-only users in our professional package, and an unlimited number in the enterprise package.
Do I need to buy services?
For our Basic Plan, you are required to purchase onboarding services, but this is included in our other plans. You can purchase optional training and setup services for an additional fee. We want you to get started on the right foot with your reporting efforts, so think about what would make you most successful from the start. It is usually much easier to be successful with some of your information already setup in ClearPoint and then some training by a passionate professional.
What is Onboarding?
We work with your team for ½ day to ensure you are on the path to success with ClearPoint. This includes a kick-off call, goal setting, configuration help and some administrator training. We will work with you to schedule these sessions during your first couple weeks of using ClearPoint. We want to ensure your ClearPoint implementation runs as smoothly as possible. Onboarding and concierge service (annual check-in and support) is included in the Professional and Enterprise Plans and is a required additional first year fee in the Basic Plan.
Are there any overage or hidden fees?
No. ClearPoint costs are tied to the number of users and the level of support that you request. You will not see additional fees for scorecards, objectives, measures, emails, document storage, printing, reminders, or notifications. If you need more users or support, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Do I need to pay for a year up front?
Yes. ClearPoint contracts are billed annually by default. We’ve found that customers who can commit to a full year of using ClearPoint will be more successful with their reporting efforts in the long run. And since your long-term success is our goal, we want to encourage those practices that support that goal. Bottom line: Annual contracts make happier ClearPoint customers. And we want you to be happy.
What’s “Try It Now?”
Selecting a “Try It Now” button on the ClearPoint website puts you directly into the Professional Package. We want you to see how the software works, so you will get a tour and be able to do almost everything in the software. Be aware that the data resets every 24 hours. If, after the quick look, ClearPoint seems like it might be right for your organization, request a Free Trial.
What’s the free trial, then?
The free trial provides you with a full version of a Professional Package for 15 days. We also provide Premium Support so that you can message us from within the application to get your questions answered. If you like the software, you will be able to purchase it with your work still in it. You get the full experience of the depth and breadth of the ClearPoint software, so you know exactly what you’re getting when you become a ClearPoint customer.
What is Premium Support?
All clients receive access to Basic Support which includes all of the articles and videos in our support center and email support. You can email us, and we promise to get back to you in one business day. For Premium Support, you get a faster email response time (promise of four hours, but we try for less than an hour), you can call us on the phone, and you can use in-app messaging, which means you can reach us right when you need us.
What about Training?
We offer on-premise and remote training. We believe that users will learn ClearPoint quickly and easily by working with one of our professional trainers. We conduct 2-hour end user training sessions and 3-hour administrator training sessions. We can combine these sessions to create a custom training day for different individuals in your organization. Check with us and design a program that will ensure your success.
Do you have government pricing?
We sure do. If you are with a United States federal, state, or local government organization, and you can purchase off of GSA, then we do have GSA pricing under schedule 70. Our number is GS-35F-0610X. Please reach out to us directly for additional questions about GSA pricing.
Can I customize my package?
We built the packages based on the standard price and then gave a generous “package discount.” You can add things to the package like additional users or premium support and increase your discount, but if you subtract items from the package, you would lose the package discount. The goal of the package is to ensure that you have the right tools to be successful. We are happy to talk to you about your individual circumstance and learn more about what your path to success looks like.
