ClearPoint ending support for Internet Explorer 11

While Google Chrome is the recommended browser for use with ClearPoint, we know that some organizations still use Internet Explorer.  If that is the case for your organization, please make sure you are using a supported version for the sake of your own security and take some time to thoughtfully consider your browser choices.

In early 2019, Microsoft released a statement that they will no longer be upgrading Internet Explorer and recommend switching to a modern browser for the best user experience. In November 2020, Microsoft officially stopped supporting Internet Explorer 11 and announced the sunsetting of Microsoft Edge Legacy.

We suggest that all Internet Explorer users switch to an alternative browser (our top choice is Google Chrome) in order to continue receiving ClearPoint support, as our policy is to only support Windows-supported browsers.  We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause, but hope you can understand for the following reasons:

  • An unsupported browser is extremely vulnerable to attacks. Because your ClearPoint account contains confidential information for your organization, exposing it to such vulnerabilities should be avoided.
  • ClearPoint’s UI is not as quick and responsive in older versions of Internet Explorer.
