Last week marked the third annual Strategy and Performance Management Summit, presented by ClearPoint and hosted by the City of Fort Lauderdale. The event spanned two days and included presentations highlighting exciting ClearPoint features and best practices from leaders in the performance management space.

Lee Feldman, City Manager, started off day one by welcoming us to Fort Lauderdale. The day continued with the ClearPoint Support Team showing off the ClearPoint Data Loader and API, as well as the new ability to create aggregate calculations within measures. ClearPoint charts, reporting capabilities, and the Community Dashboard were also topics of conversation throughout the day. Attendees had the chance to meet with the ClearPoint Support Team in a one-on-one setting during breaks in the program. We also had our biggest Happy Hour turnout yet, where attendees discussed their use of ClearPoint, their performance management processes, and the parrots that were perched nearby the venue.

On day two of the Summit, several ClearPoint users shared their performance management journeys. The City of Fort Lauderdale explained how they have continued to stay on top of performance management despite significant turnover, and the United Nations Federal Credit Union discussed how they created and rolled out several scorecards in order to create alignment throughout their entire organization. The Cities of Austin, TX and Arvada, CO talked about how they implemented ClearPoint and are now using it to create and display dashboards as well as manage their projects.

The afternoon began with lunch, generously sponsored by Tantum, and a presentation about executing strategy, which was based on the results of a survey completed before the summit. The City of Vaughan, Ontario and Cancer Care Ontario each discussed their strategic planning process and how they have leveraged ClearPoint to manage their strategy organization-wide. The afternoon then continued with a crowd favorite, speed networking, where attendees had the chance to share their experiences with each other.

The summit closed with the unveiling of the ClearPoint Measures Library, sparking discussion about how organizations can best share measures and data with each other. Overall, attendees came away from the summit excited about ways they can expand their use of ClearPoint, with great takeaways on performance management, and with new contacts made from networking. A big thank you goes out to all of the speakers, panelists, and everyone else who helped to make the Strategy and Performance Management Summit a huge success, especially our gracious host, the City of Fort Lauderdale!
