A strategy execution platform is software that connects an approved strategic plan to the work that delivers it. Every objective, measure and initiative has an owner and a status, progress updates come in on a schedule, and leadership sees what is on track, what is slipping and why, without assembling reports by hand. It is also called strategy execution software or strategy implementation software.

The plan passes, the retreat ends, and four things break in the months that follow.
Half the plan has no named person behind it, so nothing moves and nobody notices.
How ClearPoint shows who owns what ›One coordinator emails every department each quarter and types the answers into a deck.
How updates come in without chasing ›Briefing books and exception reports are rebuilt from spreadsheets every period.
How the review builds itself ›The variance is visible; the action, the owner and the date are decided somewhere else, or never.
How ClearPoint AI turns a variance into a next step ›Across 52,247 objectives in 318 organizations, 77.6% have no named owner.
See the data ›Every objective, measure and initiative has a named owner and a cadence. Ownership gaps show up on the scorecard. Status rules turn data into red, yellow, green automatically, and alerts reach the owner ahead of the review.
Across 90,305 initiatives on our platform, those with a named owner are completed 2.5× as often as those without.

Owners reply to the reminder email in plain English or answer ClearBot in Microsoft Teams. ClearPoint AI writes the update into the scorecard, and the plan stays current between meetings.

Briefing books, exception reports and dashboards build themselves from the plan. Quarter-end takes minutes, the numbers match across every view, and the review starts with what needs a decision.

ClearPoint AI explains variance on any element and drafts next steps. One click turns a recommendation into an action item with an owner, a type and a date. My AI Briefing tells each leader what moved, what is at risk and what to ask, rebuilt on every open.
What ClearPoint AI flags first — unowned objectives, measures nobody updates — comes from patterns in the anonymized structure of 20,582 strategic plans. We never see the content of anyone else's plan. Administrators set tone and guidelines, review transcripts and can turn AI off.
Also included: AI Knowledge Base with citations · Playbooks · MCP Server for Claude, Cursor and Copilot.

Three patterns show up in the data. Plans with more than 20 objectives complete 9.1% of their initiatives, against 11.8% for plans with 10 or fewer. Plans with 4 to 8 measures per objective complete 15.1%, against 10.1% for plans with 3 or fewer. And ownership is the strongest single predictor of completion: 21.5% with a named owner, 8.7% without. ClearPoint is built to enforce the first two and make the third visible.

No. Both terms describe software that runs the plan after approval, with owners, a reporting cadence, status rules and reporting. Vendors tend to say platform when the product also connects data sources and includes AI, as ClearPoint does.
Another name for the same category: software that turns an approved strategic plan into owned objectives, measures and initiatives, tracks their progress and reports it to leadership.
Planning software helps you build the plan: framework, objectives, measures, initiatives. Execution software runs it: ownership, updates, alerts, reviews and reporting, quarter after quarter. Most organizations need both, in one system, so a plan change shows up in execution the same day.
OKR tools are built around quarterly objectives and key results, usually for product and engineering teams. Strategy execution software runs multi-year plans with measures, initiatives and projects, board and council reporting, and public dashboards. ClearPoint supports OKRs as one framework among others.
Project tools track tasks and deadlines inside a project. Strategy execution software tracks the objectives those projects serve, with status rules and executive reporting. In ClearPoint a late project shows up against its objective, so leadership sees which objective the delay affects.
ClearPoint AI writes updates from email and Teams replies, briefs each leader on live data, explains variance and drafts next steps that become action items. Your data is never used to train AI models; what ClearPoint knows about plans comes from anonymized structure and ownership patterns, never from anyone's plan content. Administrators can turn AI off account-wide.
