By now, you’ve probably all seen lots of emails and social media posts about how organizations are supporting the Black Lives Matter movement and condemning the murders of Trayvon Martin, George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Rayshard Brooks, and other minorities across the country.

First, as founders, we want to let you know that we stand 100% with the Black Lives Matter movement and their goals of ensuring equal treatment and conditions for Black Americans.  Never again should an unarmed person – regardless of race – die at the hands of the police or “vigilante justice.”  And the fact that it happens disproportionately to Black Americans is a national disgrace that must end.

For us at ClearPoint Strategy, action starts inside our doors.  We are committed to equity and inclusion, and we are actively listening and learning.  We recognize that this is a long journey, and there are no quick fixes.  While there is much to be done, we believe that some of our greatest potential impact lies in these three areas:

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training:  A successful workplace survives and thrives when everyone feels safe, welcome, and included.  We know that we need to actively foster such an open environment.  Therefore, we are adding diversity, equity, and inclusion training for every staff member.

Donation Matching:  As founders, we are matching employee donations to Charity Navigator’s list of Top Civil Rights Nonprofits.  This gives our employees the agency to support the organizations they feel can make the greatest impact.

Investment in Community:  We want to take our talent and expertise and deploy it to a cause that we are passionate about.  We are partnering with ELGL to launch a cohort of local governments focused on Strategy and Performance Management.  This program will be free of charge to majority minority governments who want to invest in the long-term future of their communities but cannot afford it.  We will be providing software, training, and mentorship to invest in communities’ long-term growth.

Our company is excited to be making these commitments in 2020, and we look forward to exploring how we can be part of the solution going forward.

Best Regards,
